I'm in the market for a phone for my wife whose trusty nokia 5320 gave up the ghost recently.
Questions:-
1. Q: Budget?
A: upto 20K
2. Q: Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?
A: Bar
3. Q: Preferred display type?
A: NA
4. Q: Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: Don't want a Samsung
5. Q: Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?
A: Touchscreen, Qwerty
6. Q: Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
A: Any Camera
7. Q: Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android/Windows/Symbian
8. Q: Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
A: 3G, Wifi
9. Q: What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: Making calls ! and the net occasionally
10. Q: Any other requirements?
A: A responsive touchscreen and non laggy interface
11. Q: If you have already considered a phone then please mention the model ( My wife's choices after looking at the various options on flipkart).

My wife has never used a touchscreen phone and hence UI and ease of use is paramount.The app store is not a priority.I'm tending towards NOT buying an xperia as I already have an xperia arc s and having a different OS would give me a new toy to play with
