I have listened MA BX2 and KEF Q300 with Marantz AVR. Both have same driver size, but KEF has bigger box than MA BX2. Both are front ported. The performance:
BX2 - Good punchy bass, good vocal and slightly bright high. Has energy and attack.
Q300 - Good vocal, slightly brighter than BX2, decent bass.
Both the speakers are good. KEF may be better paired with NAD. BX2-Marantz combo was good.
