Monitor Audio Mr2 inside!( Any scope of modding?)

After 2 years of owning Monitor Audio Mr2 speakers ( bought from a fellow hifivision member), I got a reason to open up one speaker as one of the cable binding screw posts broke and wanted to check if it was replaceable. Cabinet bracing is done to the middle of the speaker enclosure. Surprisingly there is not much damping inside the walls, except for a piece of foam used to partially cover the sides of the walls ( first half of the speaker) right behind the speaker. The behind wall as well as the second half are void of any kind of damping.
I had a piece of thick sofa foam at home so tried modding to damp the insides. I have left the back wall as it is. I'm noticing considerable improvement in mids, tighter bass, slight improvement in depth.
Is there any scope for more modding with damping the insides further with more foam or materials and with the cross over components?

Update: I, removed the light pink sofa foam which I put to mod & kept the original black foam intact. Inspite of the slight midrange clarity with more foam, I started to miss the bass extension. Instead tucked a 2x2 incn piece of this blue foam( with cool technology)behind tweeters. Improvement in depth is retained and noticing slight treble extension. May be the thick foam are absorbing the bass vibration. (may be.....may be.....)

I think the Mr2 speaker enclosure and drivers are tuned in such away that they don't require much internal damping. Or may be upgrading the capacitors in cross over will improve the sound................
