Hi.. I am having my Wharfedale obsidian 600 5.1 connected to an Yamaha V795 AVR. I am hardly using it as a 5.1 setup and mostly using for music in Stereo tone bypass mode. Based on a few suggestions I am planning to replace the AVR with a dedicated stereo Amp(using it with Wharfedale FS) for a better music experience. Planning to have my hands on a used Marantz 5005 for trial before investing on a new one. I listen to my music from Saavn(super duper high streaming, probably 320kbps) that is connected to optical input of the AVR through an Cromecast Audio device using a Toslink cable. My music is mostly bollywood with a recently developed inclination towards unplugged versions. Now I am here for some suggestions on below,
1. Should I expect a Notable listening experience going ahead with above said changes.
2. My budget for Amp is within 20K, do I have another option of stereo Amp. Should low power pc for 5005 for my floorstanders be a concern.
3. Does the CCA DAC pair well with the above said setup or should I go for a dedicated DAC. Any suggestions for DAC under 10K.
4. Does a economical preamp(Say under 10k) bring any improvement.
Regards,
Abhi
