How many of were around to listen to the old mtv unplugged in the early days of satellite TV in india?
While the colonial cousins album has been getting a lot of publicity, a lot of the other albums are just as good -
The beauty of those concerts were that with the minimal instrumentation, it really let the artist and the guitar really shine.
What MTV shows as unplugged, and imitators (coke studio) - they're still too much instrumentation - the music ends up being a khichdi of sorts
Albums i have been able to get so far
Eric Clapton
Nirvana
10,000 Maniacs
Rod Stewart
Mariah Carey
Tony Bennett
Neil Young
Bob Dylan
Eagles HFO

Any other fans of this series?

Did not watch it on TV at that time, but love some of the albums that came out of it. Nirvana was brilliantly done. And Bryan Adams.

IMO Queensryche and Alice in Chains sounded amazing unplugged. Also KISS did a great show featuring ex-members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
