I have now setup a decent system which sounds good to me.
My system :
Power supply -
Dedicated power line for music system only.
Bajaj voltage stab and an over/under voltage cut-off device with built in filters.
Supra cables based power strip with Supra and generic power cords for equipment.
Sources -
Musical Fidelity M1 Clic (streaming flac files over wifi from Netgear NAS)
NAD C546BEE Cd player
Marantz DVD player (working as a second CD player)
Interconnects -
QED and Bandridge interconnects.
Amplifier -
AP Swara active preamp and crossover feeding dual mono SS amps.
(Subs have their own built-in amps)
Speaker cables and pre-power interconnects -
Thallam speaker cables and interconnects.
Speakers -
AP MS101 based bookshelves mounted on Soundfoundations stands. Old Vifa (scanspeak) drivers with no cross-over.
REL T7 subwoofers, one each for each channel connecting using high level connection in parallel to low frequency drivers of the main speakers.
Room treatment -
Open cell foam based absorption panels. Wall diffusers.
(I am presently not using any analogue source)
