Hello everyone,

Basically I have one of those old home theatre systems where you can play dvds and such and for what it is it had very good sound to me.

I think 2 years back the av receiver of it just decided to fry itself.

I have the LG DVD Home theater 6330P, apparently it's a 1000w

From what I think, I believe the speakers are fine, I think I just need to replace the av receiver, how do I approach that or what are the alternatives to get this thing up and running. I have attached photos below of the av receiver

Hi,

these are the systems which are called Home Theatre in a Box. Many brands like Philips, Sony, Samsung etc. have such systems which is sold in the market and even online.

These models keep changing with time and when you try to repair parts are not easily available. It is better to hunt for a preowned one which you can possibly find over Facebook Market Place or OLX etc.

You will need to refer to the Owner's Manual of the system to check the specs of the speakers and then hunt alternatively for a suitable replacement or entry level AVR which matches these speakers and your budget.

All the best!

I am replying because I was in similar situation years ago. My suggestion is not to spend any more money, discard it entirely including the speakers, take a step up and invest in an entry level avr+speaker set(basic 5.1 satellite). No need of new, get used ones.
