My DIY Speaker - 1

Looks innovative, Please share your thoughts on SQ

As I said before, I'm already loving it. Did a side-by-side comparison with my old MA BX2s. To me and my brother, my DIY babies sing better than those BX2s.

Sigma 150-600, Drooooling.

Thats a cool speaker design. Got a audio recording of it?

MaSh

Ha ha. The sigma belongs to my brother.

I'm glad that you liked it.

Here is the link for one recording. It was recorded using my phone. There is a little room reflection. The drivers are running with DIY sub support.

are these PVC, metal pipes or fill fiberglass farication

These are 110mm pvc tee joints housed on a plywood (white) board.

Very Nice Bro... :). You have done an Excellent Job. Loved the Red Color. Mobile recording cannot justify the sound quality, I hope in real they sound even better.

Looks quite innovative, congratulations!

what drivers are they?
Did you stuff it with acoustic foam?
How is the LF response?
Is the sweet spot narrow?

Thanks. To my ears they really sound nice.

Innovative. Love it.

How does it sound ? What gear ? Crossover ?

Thanks. Right now it's being driven by my AVR only. Xo is set at 80hz.

Great DIY.

Thanks.

These look lovely.. Hope sealed enclosure?..

Thanks. Yes this is a sealed enclosure.

Great job bro, a great DIY attempt and it sounds good too

Thanks

what drivers are they?

Markaudio Alpair 7.3

Did you stuff it with acoustic foam?

Yes. The enclosure is stuffed with polyfill and recron.

How is the LF response?

It's quite alright for their size. However they easily goes down below 80hz and the LFs are handled by my diy sub.

Is the sweet spot narrow?

I always find the sweet spot to be narrow for any speaker irrespective of their size. But that is my personal opinion only.

This is really innovative ... How this idea came in your mind :) ?

Thanks.

I was looking for ideas for enclosures. Initially I thought to use PVC pipes (straight pipes). So I visited my local hardware store. As soon as I saw those PVC tee joints, this idea came to me. The rest is trial and error. :)

@saikatbiswas82
Cool design. Sure it sounds great too.
Definitely not a speaker to be hosted with a male dog at home :D
Cheers,
Raghu

Thanks Raghu. :)
