my moms buying me speakers, help me choose please

I believe ARN has a delhi office or else you may request Amitnoida for an audition of the Be-718. Its beyond your budget though. Its around 1.1+VAT plus cost of stands.

If looking at bookshelves, I would suggest having a look at the Dynaudio line. Availability may be a bit of a problem though. The other issue is that they need a fair bit of power.

@Dhruv,

If you like laidback sound, then your future amp may be NAD. So, it makes sense now to select a pair of bookshelf which goes well with NAD amp. The first speaker comes to my mind is PSB. You may hear the combo at Lakozy Lajpat Nagar.

^^ I'd second this. The PSB Image T6 speakers (floorstanders) are supposed to be excellent speakers and they fall right into your budget.

yeah the tiny dancers are a bit higher ... I might have been thinking about the x718 .. not much idea about them

You are in safe hand. Kamalji is very senior and experienced and his advice is absolutely correct. I also suggest you for Standmount.

@capt rajesh
i wouldnt mind saving some money and getting my speakers used, but ill definitely need to audition them first. do you know where i can do so in delhi?

im visiting bangalore next week, so i can drop by his house too.

Hey sorry, since my speaker search is over, I seem to have deleted his No. You could PM Square_wave of our forum who would have Bharatan's No.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
