Well, finally the Focals have arrived. And after 6 days with them and a burn in period of more than 30 hours they are behaving very nicely with a smooth sound. Those speakers has a very balanced high frequency which does not come for your ear though they have the sparkle when needed.
The best thing about those speakers are the mids. Any music with a relaxed pace and a lot of vocal (especially male) sounds fantastic. Bengali songs are a treat for ear coming from those speakers. :licklips:
Old hindi song sounds very good too as they have a smooth mid output.
As it is still in the burning in precess I really cannot asses its potential with rock music. Though bass output goes real low. There are two 6.5 inch bass driver which can produce low frequency to chest thumping spl.
They are connected with Chord Carnival SilverScreen speaker cable to my Kenwood KA2200 amp. Being a 80s amp it has a sort of warm sound, which is now working wonder for my turntable with those speakers.
Cd player (pioneer DV400 K) is connected with Chord Cobra Plus interconnects. These interconnects are worth every penny one spends for them. Right now I am looking for a interconnect for my turntable with a slight roll off on the top frequency. Any suggestion are welcome.
