Hi, building my first HiFi...

Planing to Buy a NAD d3020 (DAC to access all my music form a Mac Mini) +

Elac B6 or Dali Zensor 3???. :sos:

Small apartment, 70% Music (progressive house) 30% Netflix.

Love to have big bass without external subwoofer... thoughts???

For that extra bass, Elac B6 is the preference. But you don't want to compromise on the Mids either so take an audition before deciding.

You can't go wrong with either one of em.... Trust your ears and go for it. Though both the speakers offer sufficient bass, but not sure what is your definition to big bass.

I have Elac B6 . Have a tight Bass . Dali i found to be bright . For My Pioneer Elac B6 performs very well

Nad has a dedicated Sub out, buy Dali Zensor 3 and add a powered sub if you feel the bass response isn't adequate..
Dali are good resolving speakers and pair well with nad.

Go for Elac B6. The bass is addictive on it, however, the highs felt slightly rolled off to me. Dali Z3 is also a very good speaker with a better more balanced overall sound. Try auditioning them and pick the one that you prefer.

Running NAd D3020 with Zensor 1 in master bedroom.
Bass is more than adequate besides the amp also has a bass boost button should you fancy more bass.
Secondly - Zensor series goes with almost all amps, it is pretty neutral speaker and are well respected.

But your ears are the final judge

Rightly put by everyone !!!

Tough choice to make. I personally feel that Elac B6 are little tight on bass, and Zensor 3 are bright.

And big bass, according to what I have understood would be difficult to achieve from both these speakers alone. An additional powered subwoofer would be recommended for better output.

Also, a personal recommendation would be Zensor 3 with NAD would be a better combination than with the Elacs !!!

All the best :)

You can also demo wharfedale Diamond 225.

I am using NAD d3020 + Diamond 225 from last 4 months, very satisfied with combo.

Check out the PSB Image and the Alphas also, exceptional midrange. Though Class D amps are a bit shy with the midrange and highs, have read rave reviews about the NAD3020D, but never heard one.

Even if they have managed to achieve 70% of the old NAD musicality, you are in for some eargasm.

Thanks. Which one do you think it work better near a wall??? It's a small apartment and they probably be 5 or 10cm from de back wall

I noticed that you have Dali... I like them because 7"... but I'm wary about proximity with back wall??? I have 5cm.. maybe 10cm... I don't know if it enough for these speakers...

Thanks

I find a nice deal of Audio Bronze 2... I like the front bass but I read they need at lest 30cm from back wall (imposible in my apartment). What do you think???

Bronze 2 are amazing speakers, front ported but still need some distance from the wall, at least a foot.
