Hi Eyeinthe sky, I would not want to derail Max's cdp thread. Just wanted to confirm with you whether the current lens is Sanyo SF P101 ? Can you pls PM me which lens to go for which reads reliably so I can replace it. Also what would be the cost for the same. The 6006 CDP is just a year old. Thanks a lot.

Taking everything in to consideration including the investment I would buy a Denon DCD 1600NE or 2500NE without a doubt. The after sales support for Denon is unmatched. My 10 year old DCD 1500AE needed a lens change and some capacitor smd overhauling , all was done within 2 weeks ,that's amazing service and peace of mind. My Denon could still go on for some more time but I still got it serviced. Had it not been for the terrible after sales service of many a brands in India we could have taken the chance with some great brands that are available in the country. More over I always feel or my experience taught me over the years that it's best to buy digital sources/transports that are Made in Japan over any other country and get a European or American DAC. My two cents
