If you can post a rough sketch of your room layout with the location of the kit and seating position. And also possible locations where you can put up a panel. Then will be easier to suggest something.

Usually first and second reflection points.
General thumb rules- diffuser/absorber between front speakers, carpet on the floor such that once seated you cannot see the tweeters of your front speakers reflecting from the floor. On side walls- ask someone to slide a mirror along the surface. You remain seated in the main seating position. Along the left wall- 2 spots where you see the reflection of the tweeter of right speaker and left. Repeat for right wall by sliding a mirror along the surface and look for reflections of tweeter of left speaker and right speaker. Ceiling -if required choose acoustic foam or similar depending on budget. Be careful about rockwool- some say its not good for health.
Acoustic panels look dreadful phani. Best not to use them in a living room space. You have tried to use pillows temporarily when listening, this is probably the best you can do here.
There is already a lot of furniture in the room acting as natural diffuser and absorber. The sofa is apparently blocking 1/2 the speaker ? Placing a carpet may help but honestly cant see much scope for other panels etc. May be the large 3 seater sofa can be shifted in place of the single seater to free up the right speaker ?
