need advise for bookshelf speakers under 25k

Ok forget it now because of unavailability for audition. What is your opinion on POlk A3. Is the speakers are give crystal clear sound for music?
I own many Polk RTI series, A5, Fxi A6, CSI a4. They're a very VFM speakers. Bit on the brighter side but don't sound harsh either. They have a very faithful sound reproduction so the details come out very well. Obviously with above qualities, They work very well for movies.

I felt lack of bass in stereo listening with Denon AVR so I used to recommend mandatory subwoofer for even Stereo listening. I changed my opinion after connecting it to a dedicated stereo amp. Speakers seemed to come to life out of hibernation and impressive response in lower frequencies too. So overall if you like bright sound signature and for bollywood type of music you can't go wrong with them.
Did you check with Monitor Audio? - audio video people at jubilee Hills
Wharfedales 225? Again with Vector systems.

What is the lowest price for POLK RTI A3 and KEF Q300?

A3 pair around 25k including installation. KEF is out of budget so I don't know the price. Call profx, contact numbers listed on the website. They were nice in the phone and patient during audition about 45 min. 20 min each for a1 and a3

Are they provide installation for anywhere? I think you are listen the quality of A3. How is the performance in mp3s?

sorry shouldve paid more attention to the thread when you said not available in hyd :)

I test using bluetooth pairing. I play mp3 (192/320kbps) and Flac. they sounded good. Now im confused by what is too "bright". I liked them though. But you should audition more than one brand to make the decision yourself. A trip to Bangalore maybe well worth it :p

Installation within city yes. Other places i doubt. A3 is wall mountable. So i think it should be fairly straightforward with a local guy.
I just auditioned Zensor 1. I'm now torn between A3 and Zensor 1:confused:

Next sat i will make my decision. I will post a detail update in my thread

Yes A3 are fantastic speakers, they are known to go well with denon / marantz. Which kef did you listen to?

I am looking to replace my Polk Monitors with either rti A3, zensor 3 or kef q300.

I did not audition Kef, starting range is itself out of my budget.

Your budget range is interesting :p rti A3 (24k), zensor 3 (35k) or kef q300 (around 40k or more i guess).

Zensor 3 is not available for audition anywhere in Bangalore

I auditioned Zensor 1. They sounded close to A3. Trying to decide which one. now. But zensor 1 is cheaper around 22k. auditioned at DNI bellandur

Thank you so much for the information. Yes, if you see listed price, my wish list is a news. However, I intend to pick from dealer where the quotes are different. Zensor 1 and rti A3 is a tough choice no doubt.

I have audition Dali Zenser 3 as well as Polk audio RTiA3 last month. To my ears, Both have same sound signature little on brighter side. Dali Zenser 3 has more bass than Polk RTIA 3 and more clear and detailed midrange with high frequency little pronounced.Zenser3 are back ported so needs sufficient space behind to perform well. Polk RTiA3 is little smoother than Zenser 3 and have less low end extension than Zenser 3. Polk RTIA 3 can be wall mounted or can be placed near to wall. Both can sound fantastic for movies as well as movies . Price difference between two may be the major selection factor other wise both sound equally good for what you pay.

Zensor 1 is rear-ported which means you shouldn't wall mount it.

Polk A3 is dual-ported, one in front and one in the back. So it would be better if you have it on stand.

The Zensor 1 can definitely be wall mounted and do have screw holes for the purpose. They come with four plastic buffers for each speaker which are to be stuck to the back enabling a gap from the wall in case of wall mounting.

View from the top of a wall mounted Zensor 1 in my bedroom.

Wall mounting a bookshelf is always going to be a compromise and probably cannot be recommended. I had no option so went looking specifically for wall mountable speakers and am happy with it.

Hey thanks for the great update with pic.
Are you using zensor 1 as zone B or front/rear speakers? Any reviews or comments about the performance compared to other speakers

You're welcome. This is a small bedroom stereo system with Marantz M-CR503 meant for very casual listening and I do like it. Never really bothered about performance or comparisons with any other speakers :)
The TV in between doesn't help very much either :D.

Good Little setup you have it there, very apt for bedrooms [emoji122]

Wasn't aware that Marantz CR503 is quite big ; few comments about the performance of the combo if possible? Also if individual brief reviews of amp and speakers can be given?
What sources you're using regularly for this combo?

Don't compare Dali Zenser 1 with Polk audio RTiA3, between two I will always prefer Polk RTiA3. Zenser can't perform well on wall mounted situation unless until you have specific mounting assembly where as RTiA3 can be mounted on just two screws. If you fell RTiA3 are bigger for wall mount you can go for RTiA1, which is smaller version of RTiA3 at the cost of low end extension.

I'm leaning towards Zensor 1 because of these reasons:
"Marginal drop" in performance compared to A3. But A3 is bulkier mostly a year down the line i will move these to rear surround and buy tower speakers.
Plus i save about 3-4k on the price which i could use to get a better sub couple of months down the line.

Zensor1 definitely sits between A1 and A3. But i'm just trying to decide, Zensor 1 or A3.

I loved the A3 though, just bulkier and more expensive. Specs wise it has larger drivers so a fair comparison would be A3 to Zensor 3 (which i have not auditioned)

RElatively new to this area. can you specify a track where this low end extension difference is pronounced? :) Maybe that may help me understand the difference

If your intention is use these as rear surrounds, then A3, Z3, etc would be an overkill at the back. A1 makes more sense. The rear channels would be working only at frequencies at 100Hz or over majority of the times.
