Hi everybody i am new to this forum. This is an amazing forum for Home Theater lovers.

I plan to buy a Home Theater for my house, and i search for several site and did not find a solution yet, finally i found this forum and i hope i will get the solution here.

My budget is around 40K if i buy the entire home theater i.e. buy AV Receiver along with speaker

or i will increase my budget upto 60K if i buy AV receiver alone now and after 3 - 5 months i will buy speaker.

My Requirement:
I am using Full HD TV, so AV receiver has to support FULL HD 1080p and also it has to give sharper 5.1 surround sound.

Now i am confuse with Yamaha, Pioneer and ONKYO. If i buy AV receiver and speaker separately what brand should i go for AV Receiver and what brand should i go for speaker. Hence, I am also concentrated in Video Quality that AC Receiver should support 1080p, i am using DISH TV, is AV receiver can give better Video quality ie its has capable for reduce noise in video?

Please suggest best brand, thanks and advance.

What will be your %ge of usage? (Movies / Music / TV Shows) Remember one rule that if you buy speakers separately, then go for that brand which is specialised in manufacturing only speakers (unlike YAMAHA, PIONEER)

@forever.pramod Thanks,
Mostly i will watch HD Movies in my TV.
70% movies and TV and 30% music

Buy a denon avr for your required movies/music ratio it will be enough. The basic model is X500 which is very tough to find now as it is replaced with another model x510bt. This Avr should be in the range of around 30k. Buy yourself good bookshelf+center to start off. you can then purchase subwoofer and surrounds later. Also even better would be to start with floorstanders instead to bookshelf speakers. audition the pioneer andrew jones speakers, polk tsx series, jamo s426, boston acoustics a2310 and a26, sonodyne 2504 and 1504. Also remember that audition is a must for making a decision. we can provide you the models you can audition but its you who has to make the decision. Visit some dedicated home theater store and then make the decision. Start with auditioning the speaker lineup mentioned above and also which you feel you can get a listen to.
Sonodyne on republic day will be having a sale with 26% discount on their products.

for 40K, YAMAHA YHT 299 undoubtedly, i guess they have also launched some new models. I own 299 and for a mid sized living room it is more than what i asked for, loving it.

I heard the yamaha yht 299 and 196. It no way comes very close to separates. For beginners its decent. But if you are seriously interested in getting a good ht. Separates would be ideal

Does Denon AVR has 1080p support, i did not find any video specification in AVR.

Basic avr only passthrough 1080p source but cannot upscale to 1080p. It will just pass the source. Yes denon supports 1080p passthrough

Full HD/1080p just means Bluray quality. All AVRs sold in the market for last 7-8 years have been Full HD/1080p
So don't worry - all AVRs selling in the market today are 1080p *
The question you should be asking is - is the AVR Ultra HD / 4k (4096) compatible (there are already 4k TVs, but they are very expensive). Most of the latest AVRs are compatible

* 1080p looks good only if your source is 1080p. So if you are playing Blurays or Bluray rips or DTH HD, it will look spectacular. But if you feed it video shot on a non-smartphone or a non-HD channel, it will not look as good

Overall, you should spend a little more on your speakers than your AVR, esp since you are going for 5.1. The Pioneer 924 is at the higher end - you can do with something cheaper and spend more on speakers.

If you have a inflexible budget, you can look at an AVR around 30k and a sub-satellite system with the remaining money. Usually a good place to start is ProFX. Their outlets are conveniently found in malls. Try the Polk RM 6750 along with entry level Denon or Pioneer AVR. If you are not averse to travelling around the city, you can find out Wharfedale dealers and try their Moviestar sub-satellite system (Tapatalk doesn't let me see which city you are from, but the forum members will help you find Hifi dealers in every city in India)

If your room is big enough for floorstanders, you can look at this combo of Pioneer Andrew Jones speakers and Pioneer AVR
http://www.hifimart.com/package-dea...ndrew-jones-aj-5235xt-pioneer-vsx-523-av.html
The Andrew Jones speakers are very well rated and will produce great music. A sub-satellite combo will not sound as good for music. But bear in mind that in small rooms the floorstanders will sound boomy

And if all these do not whet your appetite and you want even better sound, then increase your budget and the forum will throw mind boggling number of combinations for you :)

Thanks, my room size is 12feetx8feet, floorstanders is ok or can i go for wall mount speaker?

Your listening distance isn't enough for floorstanders. If you can find a Pioneer dealer or can get in touch with hifimart and see if you can get a 5.1 system built with Andrew Jones BS-22 bookshelves. They would still be good for music and fit your budget.

Or you can check satellite systems like the Polk 6750, Onkyo 3400, Yamaha 299 etc

Hey sorry if this is off topic. But how much should be the listening distance for floor standers?

I was looking at buying floorstanders, but my viewing distance is 8-10 feet. Should I go ahead with floorstanders, or look at bookshelf or 5.1 satellite setup ?
