well....i'm very much new in this forum...the only reason for joining this forum is to get some expert opinion...for the last 2 days learnt a lot....i'll present my case in a very simple way....pls try to help me....
# want to set up a no fuss audio-video system(pls dont mistake as HT system)
# my living room size 200 sq ft....and budget max 40k(extreme limit)...good place for purchase in bangalore
# so basic requirement....in my case A:V=50:50....tv(i have),a decent dvd/cd/mp3 player(i have-pioneer),av receiver,speaker(want to buy)....thats it i guess....its just a startup...
# for speaker...i'm only fascinated with tower/floor standing...n i want only a pair of that....so what.....2 way or 3way??...n for expert opinion....what about a sub-woofer....2 way with a sub?? or 3 way with/without sub??....what should be the ideal combination.....one thing to remember as of now i don't want to add any other speaker apart from a pair of towers and a sub(if required)...is it true for a 3 way speaker sub is not required????
# a decent av receiver( not very expensive)....going by the forum found yamaha/onkyo/pioneer/denon decent enough for my requirements(all around 20-25k...i guess)...not sure of all the model nos

p.s: can't resist myself to ask a question....what about a DIY floorstanding....looks very tempting/economical/adventurous...long time back saw a friend doing very basic bookshelf with bolton/dayinty drivers....anyone in bangalore who can give some insight into some DIY floor standing projects(where to get good drivers,2/3 way crossovers,cabinets etc etc)
