Need Help- My Onkyo 608 stuck in stand by mode

Hi Experts..

I got Onkyo 608 from US 4 months ago and using it with a step down..
suddenly yesterday when power went off and came back at home..my Onkyo 608 is not powering ON..

it comes to stand by mode .. but when I try to ON .. some CLICK sound is coming from inside but its not powering on.. (

gave it to onkyo Hyd service station.. the guy calls me up now and says..I cant identify problem and need 10 days..to send it to chennai and to check IC problem..

do u guys have any idea on this issue....plzz help

Did u try the factory reset option my friend, Check your stepdown also it can be the culprict too.

Secondly hope that they didnt plug in directly w/o converter.

In Mum too they took my AVR for service.
Soln was very expensive ,so charged a service charge of Rs 500

yeah..they took it.. pretty expensive though..minimum charge wud be 2.5k...

but Iam keen to know whats the prblm and why this happened..and wud it be sorted out..

Did they finally fix your receiver, what was the issue.
I am facing similar issue with my 608 after 3 years of service, this also US model on 750W step-down
