need help with pc/yamaha receiver. some problems

hello

i have bought a yamaha 465 receiver.
but i need som help.

i cant get audio and video from pc to the yamaha at the same time

get video is easy,that comes when i choose the hdmi inlett
but no audio.

so i thought that i could use a normal analog audio cable from my computer to the analog audio inlets on the receiver. but when i press on my remote that i want the analog audio inn ,the one where the pc is connected. the video goes away but then i have audio. and when i press the hdmi inlet for my pc,then i get the video agein,but no sound.

this goes on and on. its seems like the receiver dousent handle 2 signal sourses at once

so need some help.
either i can make my yamaha do the things i wrote up her. ore i need to make my pc send audio true the hdmi.


i also have logitec harmony,but i couldent get enything going somewhere with that either


with my old yamaha i could easy have the analog audio from pc to receiver.
with 3.5 mm jack to 2 regular audio cables in the receiver.
the old one didnt have hdmi inlets. so i conected it to my tv

i have win7 64bit.


so i could realy realy need some help

In the Input Options menu, under the MultiChannel input(where u are getting the analog audio out of the PC), there is an option called BGV(Back Ground Video).Change its setting to where the HDMI from PC goes(in my case, I have HDMI In 1 where PC is connected is associated with DVD profile and hence, has the BGV options set to DVD).So, the Multichannel input audio plays with its BGV set as PC HDMI output.
