New Centre from SONODYNE

If you plan for Sonodyne Sonus FS, then better you stick to Sonus C2501 center channel speaker for uniformity across L C R... BTW i thought u were looking for a BS in 10K range...

I have not yet decided which one [centre] to go for. My budget is: 10K for centre and around 20-25K for FS later.

Now in my city [Kolkata] demo of both centre and FS is possible for Sonodyne. But I am not getting a scope to demo the wharfedale centre here. I have to check out whether demo for magnat centre is available or not. But I also have to keep in mind that I cannot stretch my budget for FS much.

BTW, I am going to have an A-B comparison between the new Sonus Center and Avant Center in Bangalore as soon as they can setup the demo in Croma shop in EVA mall. They are also building a new demo center in Indiaranagar and its work in progress. I called them today and they were very supportive in arranging the Avant demo for me. Impressed already with the customer service .

Please have a side by side comparison and let us know the feedback. But price of Avant centre is more than double of Sonus Centre I suppose. I am looking for a centre was keen on Avant centre but I guess I will not be able to afford the matching fs with it as avant fs is 70K+. So now I am more interested in Sonus Centre which is decently priced at 7.9K.

Sure I will. BTW, I am getting Avant ONLY for movies. So I won't be getting their FS. My Left, Center and Right are all going to be Avant 250LCRs if I go with Sonodyne. And surrounds would be 4 x Avant 150.

Just a question, if you buy Avant 250LCR - [http://www.hifimart.com/sonodyne-avant-lcr-250-loudspeaker-354] will you not require separate fronts (either bs or fs) even if your primary need is only movies? I am slightly confused on this aspect.

The driver size and material is similar to the sonus 2504 except for d arngement mtm in this case
Sound quality
Little bit on d brighter side It takes some time to settle
Bass - sufficient tight and deep you can use without woofer for smaller rooms
Mids clear you can understand even back ground sounds
This should hav been launched long back bcoz the size of mid should match with mid of l & r flrs (2504 & 2605) as previous model (c2401) has small drivers

I think, he said that, considering the size of the speaker. Because, if you place a relatively big speaker below/above a small television, the pair looks a bit odd as the speaker will be distracting while watching the tv.

Looks do matter, but they are not the primary requirement when someone buys a speaker. Atleast in my case, even if the speakers aren't the best looking , I can live with them if they sound good. But, when I go out for purchasing a trouser or a blazer, I will be more concerned about its looks rather than the material used, its durability etc hyeah:

Here in Kolkata at the Sonodyne Shop they are not offering any discount. And when asked they said that the price of their product is same everywhere and no discount is going on pan India basis.
