@sridhar - I actually had the opportunity to listen to the Epos M12i and the Odyssey Epiphony one after another at Decibel. There is some similarity in the philosophy for sure, but they still sound like different speakers. But some of the similarities included the excellent soundstaging and imaging, and a somewhat full-bodied approach to the mids, which the Epos had more of than the Odyssey.
@bala - i was mentioning how a particular deo smells good for a few months, then suddenly another one smells nicer, and after you use the second one for a few months suddenly the first one smells nicer.
@suri - :O .... i am really scared now....how are you doing this? are you watching me right now? what colour shirt am I wearing??
@square_wave - which one is the Lorelei? the mallu babe or kate moss? By the way I heard the sligtly smaller version of the Lorelei (the Siren?) at ARN. What a superb pair of speakers! If I was ever going to upgrade to a big pair of speakers, and I had a big amp and a big room, these and the Be718s would be my candidates.
@rallynut - seriously man, they're just different speakers. as lovely as the epiphony is sounding in my room, i am really thinking that they need a larger room to really shine (whereas the Ushers were perfect for my room), or a little bit of room treatment here and there. So I am trying to think how I can reconfigure my house around the speakers
