Avenue Sound has tied up with NHT and BIC America and have started selling their speakers in India. In fact, they already have the NHTs for demo at their New Mumbai showroom.

I am keen to see how much the BIC subs end up costing in India. Their subs are quite popular as budget subs for entry level users in the US. Even NHT has speakers across all ranges. At the entry level their NHT superzero series had become quite popular. They do have some good floorstanders at a higher budget.

Excellent. I wanted to buy a pair of super zero's for some time. Any contact info?Hope they dont distort the pricing too much.
Cheers,
Sid

That's great..I already see a NHT listed on their site. Would we would need a step down transformer to run these?

Passive speakers do not have any power requirements, so you can get your speakers from anywhere :) I recently purchased my Pioneer speakers from Avenue sound and the experience was very good.

The pricing for the SZ on their website is fantastic and if you can get a better price after calling them - that's icing on the cake. You will be very happy with the SZ's provided you use a sub and cross them at ~90 Hz-100 Hz. The midrange is to die for. I have the oldest version [v0.0?] and they are super. Do let us know your listening impressions.

Thanks Keith,
I had the super zero about 12 years ago in my living room. They are the best bookshelf speakers bar none (to actually place in a bookshelf without effecting sq too much), due to their sealed design. I also had the super one afterwards but preferred the zero by far. I also reviewed the classic three for soundstage
SoundStage! Equipment Review - NHT Classic Three Loudspeakers (3/2007)
So I am quite familiar with their sound and agree that the midrange of the speakers is inversely proportional to their price and will perhaps end up buying the current zeros. Yes and the price is excellent as well.
Cheers,
Sid

Oh, then you probably had the same version of the SZ that I have. Theyve changed their driver source since then and crossed over a little higher than the old version. NHT claims that the new drivers are a drop in replacement for the old one's. They also mention bracing in the new version - the old version had no bracing. Except for their low sensitivity, they are absolute paisa vasool".
BTW, that price - is it for one box? I wonder.

I am also in doubt whether the NHT SZ price is for one box or for a pair???

I think, More or less it will be for one speaker.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
