NOOB Pl Help & Suggest

Hi all
Im new to AV recievers till ow was using Sony HTIB model 777 (1000w claimed Rms by SONY???) have brought ONKYO 606 can u helpand suggest a 5.1 ch speaker system my buget is 30 to 35 k max...thx


ps:i from Hyderabad room size is 15x22

Take a look at the Energy Take Classic 5.1 system (~35K but can come down), made by the Canadian company Energy. I recently auditioned them and they do the job very well for small to medium sized rooms and are compact. The Indian distribuer is Rivera International: RIVERA INTERNATIONAL
The other classic contender is the Wharfedale Diamond 9 HCP system at ~34K.

In case you want larger speakers/volumes, you will have to increase your budget to around 50K+ for a decent sounding system. Then the larger Diamonds or the Q-Acoustics 1010? system can be had. I'm sure other forum members have suggestions as well.

check the The mission m30i cinema pack @ 28 K , it was sounding good and looks good too.

Boston Acoustics MS-8000S 5.1 Speaker Package with 8" 200 Watts Subwoofer
for (Rs.24000/-) for my Onkyo 606 amp

Looks like Boston Acoustics MS-8000S doesnt cover entire frequency range. Looks like frequency between 150 Hz to 180 Hz is lost. so avoid it.

Frequency range center channel 180-20000 Hz
Frequency range subwoofer 45-150 Hz
Frequency range front speakers 180-20000 Hz

Marantz looks good, but no idea of their Sound quality.

try to audition Wharfedale HCP and Morduant short Avant home system combination.
