Not getting 5.1 performance with Tatasky DTH

Dear team,

I am using Tatasky DTH -HD with Denon 1611 but I am not getting "Dolby" performance (5.1 separation). Also receiver is not showing "Dolby D / DTH" on the display which otherwise indicates in case I feed it with Dolby of DTH discs.

Is this something related to setting ? pls. suggest.

How have you connected the STB to the AVR. I had to connect my airtel STB to AVR using a Coaxial cable and also set the coaxial output format as DOlby.

It is through HDMI port. (TataSky STB)

TS STB > organiser > user settings > sound settings. Check if it is D olby Digital and not PCM for HDMI. Maybe do a similar check in the AVR.

Also not all the channels have good separation. Test with Movies now+ and Star Movies HD.

I am having same issue. Just noticed HD channels in my TataSky STB, even I have not subscribed for it. Dont know, if TATASky has launched it freely for promotion purpose or testing purpose.

Till may 31, tata sky is providing all channels since customers had faced service interruption when tata sky systems were being upgraded last minth.
Even HBO defined and HBO hits also.
I have dolby didgital output for hdmi on stb and reciever showd dd for hd channels.

Yes that info I got from Channel #100 ad. It's a good news for TATASky subscribers and Yes I changed the HDMI audio out to Dolby Digital, now I can get 5.1

Doing that only. It is good for me like getting a trial period of HD channels before subscribing the same. If I liked then I will subscribe it.

Thanks friends ! Now its working after changing the HDMI setting to Dolby in tatasky STB.
