Mind the gap!
While there are hundreds of tweaks one can do to one’s system, I am gradually realising that the most impactful change/setting for a system is the gap between the speakers and the front wall. There are so many variables (room shape, size, acoustic properties, front/ rear ported, sealed, quality of recording, playback, and of course capabilities of the equipment etc) but distances from the wall are easiest to measure and change.
I am still moving mine around from time to time, knowing deep in my heart I will never find that perfect spot …
