Let us use this thread to discuss about the player, bugs, features etc.

me to curious on this blu ray player as it is region free ( i know we have to reset the region code everytime based on our blu ray disc).

Hope other manufacturer's too come out with similar region free versions.

Hi,
Where did you buy this player? What was the price?

THanks,
Murali.

I got it from futurebazaar cash on delivery for 4990. Just received today in the office and haven't opened it up. Just hoping it doesn't turn out to be a lemon.

^^^ From another thread

Region Unlocking Bluray and DVD
1. Turn the Blu-Ray on and open the Tray Door

2. Then press the following number combination on the remote 9113
This will bring up a screen which will allow you to change the region.

3. You have the choice of entering a region code for both Blu-Ray and DVD. I recommend you only change the code for the Blu-Ray component and leave the DVD box empty.
You will need to scroll to the second box and enter either 1 2 or 3 depending on the region you wish to use.

4. Save the settings by pressing OK and you should be able to watch discs from your selected region

What is your review of the player. Are you satisfied with this player as bluray player and its bluray region free functionality. I was in process of finalizing bluray player. Do you recommend this one.

Congrats @anm for your purchase. The price is pretty lucrative! Can you share with us your experience for the last couple of days? Did you otry the region unlocking feature? If yes, does it really work? Any major issue you have faced so far with this player?

yes, region free works for both DVD and blu-ray. Have tested for both. I do not have a picture quality reference point so can't say much, but it seems quite good to my untrained eyes.
I tried xmen (br) and bee movie (dvd) on my new panny 42V20 and from reasonable watching distance they looked stunning. On my samsung 50C6500, the picture quality of BR was not looking that great, but it could be because I was sitting too close for a 50"

Once the Blu ray players priced 25K 1-2 years back. May the prices may still gets reduced in the near future

Just now bought it at reliance digital for Rs 4990

Will be out of town until saturday. Will test it sunday.

Thanks
Pandu

Can anybody check with reliance digital and arrange one for me at this price? I have been watching futurezone and ezone, but the price is over 9K and is not available.

Check in reliance digital nearby you. Call them. If they have it you can drive down and pick it up. They are not a such a hot demand commodity. BD players are for very high end people.

Thanks
