You wanted a feedback and I guess SPK has given you his honest experience of the Denon's sound signature. Features are something you can always lookup and compare but sound is something you will have to experience and is for real.
Each of these mfrs (Denon/Onkyo/Yamaha/HK/Marantz etc) engineer their machines for their unique sound signature (and video performance) and caters to different tastes of individuals. The fact that so many companies thrive in this space is proof enough that individuals have different tastes.
That being said, though my personal preference would be a Denon precisely for the same reason as quoted by SPK (clarity and detail), at the end of the day you have to listen to these equipments back to back with the same input and spkrs and make your call based on which one you liked the best.
