Onkyo TX-NR 5008 and audio improvements for stereo setup

Hi All,
I am facing few problems with my av. I am feeling the audio output when playing music cds are too low than expected. I am using MA rx6 and from pure audio or direct, i dont get very good output. My av connected to cd through hdmi. Am i missing any setting?

Try Using the Analogue Connection route and see if there is any difference.
