Optoma HD141x HD / Full 3D

I am using Philips BDP2180 3D Blu Ray Player.

OK I understand your issue now. yes sounds weird to me too. For the issue of white patches, my only doubt is why is the issue not consistent for everything u play because it looks like it is supposed to affect all sources equally. If it is so, i can only say u can check picture settings in ur BD player... may be sharpenss or contrast boosts from player is causing this.

I will try and rent this BD or just check this screen shot saved to pen drive and check on my PJ and let you know. I connected Lappy to Pj only once since day 1 so no idea about corners not in focus.

I tried with the screenshot first and is looking fine- exactly same as it looks on my lappy. I mean i dont see any white patch thing that is not supposed to be there. There is some intended white exposure above his head in a certain small part and it doesnt look weird to me at all. May be the BD will help if i can get it on rent.

Meanwhile may be your PJ display screen capture will help me understand if I am missing something. So keep it posted.

How do I take a screenshot directly from my projector, or should I take a photo ??

Acerbh5370bd or optoma hd141x which u guys prefer please suggest

I dont quite understand why ppl compare these two models at all. Price point ? i really dont think that should be the criteria.

If all ur source is just HDTV or 720p gaming, then only acer is better. Else, if u have full HD source, one should compare acer with another native 720p model only. 1080p of optoma 141x is a resolution that is significant step up above 720p. There is nothing more to discuss on that.

yes just take a photo. I only want to get rough idea what exactly u r facing

hey there htfan, sorry for late reply, was caught up with work.
so here is the photo about which we were talking, I have marked the bight white spots which r on the head on the actors. It is the same during entire movie, like i said I happen to identify this in the movie and I checked while am playing movies on youtube, I am using my desktop as the source to play youtube videos, my desktop has a Nvidia GTX750 graphic card, this card has HDMI port as output.
i cannot say that all the movies that am playing using my bluray player is giving this effect, but yes, i get to see this kind of white patches in most of the content that i play irrespective of the source what am using to play the movies, in games i did not see this effect also am just playing DOTA2 on my desktop connected to projector.

I don't think it as a defect of the projector.
Try economy mode or reduce the brightness or project on some other materials (wall etc)

Yes, I am sure it is not projector, but i was thinking about the settings of projector, I tried everything.

i will try projecting on other material also.
