Optoma HD141x HD / Full 3D

I have just purchased an Anchor brand adapter in which the 3 pin plug of the PJ just fits in nicely. Guys pls tell me, should I go ahead with putting it the wall socket? I am scared this 110V issue might create problems in the PJ (You know there is no warranty, agar kuchh ho gaya toh:ohyeah:) Please give me a morale boost at least!!

Moreover, I just saw the Philips 6 socket surge protector I have can also accommodate the 3 pin plug of the PJ WITHOUT any adapter. Which one to go? Should I plug in the PJ + Adapter in my V guard mini crystal stabilizer or PJ Plug WITHOUT adapter in the Philips surge protector?

Guys pls enlighten me..

Just check in the supplied manual or on the projector box near the power cable the rated voltage will be mentioned. It it says 100v - 240v then you can safely use it directly in Indian power sockets.

Thanks a lot friends. Switched on the PJ (Bhagwan ka naam le kar:lol:) and it worked fine:clapping:. First time connected my laptop with 720p source to project (Dont have any 1080p ). Simply mind blowing experience so far :ohyeah:.

Have been tinkering with AV set up with various permutations and combinations. Once I am done, shall post pics. Thanks a lot!

Congrats guys. I am a happy HD20 user(though lying unused for last 10 months).

HD20 is 1700 lumens and HD141x is 3000 lumens - this is awsome as it can be played on living room as well - its real VFM!

If you want some extra protection for your bulbs, consider an UPS for sudden power cut situations. You can get UPS meant for computer (around 1200 VA) costing approx 5k.

Not only projector but the AVR is must on UPS
Im going to put entire home theater on APC ups,
Its a 2kva, mainly designed for sensitive equipments, considering too many ups and downs in voltage, abrupt power goes and comes, this will be genuinely protecting,

My next must purchase
Will share model no in some time, u ppl shud look into it

Though profx stick a label on mainly sub woofer that NOT TO put on UPS as this will void warranty, its because not all UPS has same strength and circuits as branded high tech UPS does.
So choose carefully brothers

My APC 1100va is connected to my projector, panasonic bdp, denon 1312xp home theatre.

Its holding well. I just use the UPS time to shutdown my peripherals.

Just curious guys , what exactly is 'Full 3D'. is there something called half 3D as well or this is just referring to the conversion of 2D-3D? anyone ? thanks

Full 3D feature supports all 3D formats from sources like BluRay players, Gaming Equipments, PC connectivity,..etc. "3D ready " feature may support one of the feature (say like, Gaming equipments) and would not support fully home video players. For more detail technical description, you may refer to What Does "3D Ready" Mean?

Jithu, which one APC UPS do you use, I mean the model. Can you please share the details.

I plan to put my Sony 40" LED, Yamaha 299 with Sub, Tata Sky HD STB, Asus O Player Mini and Optoma HD141x PJ on UPS due to frequent power cuts. Though power back up is switched on within 1 min, still frequent power cuts in Noida (Delhi NCR) is bugging me a lot.

Please advise on which UPS to go for, power volts etc.

Dude
Get atleast 1500kva UPS from APC

Theres a model that especially design for harsh power environment
If u can really shell out some extra cash,
And its always better to get more VA than required

That person might not be havibg same power outage as u and i do

What.if u get the model mentioned and it wont.fulfill.ur need

Was trying to find an email which local dealer suggested me from APC

But didnt get

And having higher model doesnt mean it only gives u more backup, but its circuit/mode.of use what matters most, cant explain u in proper terms but believe me spending on a UPS around 30k will be ur best bet for projectors AVR COMPUTER TV etc
