Optoma HD141x HD / Full 3D

Dude
Get atleast 1500kva UPS from APC
believe me spending on a UPS around 30k will be ur best bet for projectors AVR COMPUTER TV etc

I think 30K will be an overkill for the one he is looking for

@prajandas

. Since there is also a TV maybe 1500va will suffice. Check before buying online, whether the dealer will replace it with higher VAs, if that isnt sufficient for you.

Jithu, thanks a lot!

I guess the UPS you are having and the link you have shared previously isn't sine wave one. People are suggesting to go strictly with Sine Wave UPS for AVR.

Can you please confirm whether it is a Sine Wave or not?

I dont know whether its a pure sine wave one. But i think its not. But there are others who are using the same UPS only.

Since i had to buy the batteries separately for the pure sine wave one, i thought of going with the one i selected.

Here's one for you : APC-Home-UPS-1500VA-Sine-Wave-BI1500SINE-IN-2-Years-Warranty

I am too not in favor of buying a separate battery and spending much at this point of time. Can drop the idea of putting LED TV as it is i.e on Stabilizer. Now need 400-450 Watt backup.

But AVR & Optoma HD141x SHOULD be on UPS.

Others are using your UPS for Optoma only or Yamaha YHT299 AVR too? I guess your UPS is sufficient for Optoma but not AVR.

Smart-UPS On-Line

the above model was suggested as per requirement, its basically for harsh environment and can connect sensitive equipments AVR/projector/sub/LED/computer, can hook up all things without any tension. it has less than 3% power distortion which most little cheaper UPS cum inverters dont have, im not a guru but thats what i studied so far.

Then go for the 1500VA which will be on safer side for your requirements. (Talking about the non sine wave one from APC)

Im currently rejuvenating my room
Will stick everything and wud sure share some pics /experience with u ppl

So far i tested some bluray on projector last night, believe me its contrast and lights a way better than what i auditioned locally, and he was telling me his projector was 2.3 lacs :)

I made a gud decision not to buy locally and opted to import it :)

Hi guys.Congratulations Sameuun on your First Projector, I can relate with the excitement you must be feeling right now as I too recently became the owner of a projector.

Well, actually I am also planning to go for Optoma HD141. I already own the Benq W1070 which like this is Full 3d and HD projector. Could you please tell where I can get the best price for this model. I will be buying it online, so if you could please suggest the best online source I would be grateful.

Thanks

thnks bro,

i was very confused between newegg.com and amazon.com cuz the differences in conversion these were showing were like 5k.
importing from newegg was cheaper and I almost wud have made the order if my debit card did work that moment, but fortunately it declined.

After reading several reviews and one of my friend told me that their customer services and generating RMA is really painful i had no option but to move to amaozon.com which was 5 k more when seeing convertion from $ to Rs. and that friend suggested that instead of converting from amazon shud u go for ur order and pay/checkout in dollar, and guess what? i was charged the approx same amount what newegg was showing before checkout. :) :)

and trust me if anything goes wrong, remember amazon CC services are very loyal and gud to their cutomers, if they have to, they wont hesitate to refund full amount and tell u not to ship them back :surprise:

it happened to me many times with my bluray`s order but some members tells that they are so despearte when it comes to customer satisfaction regardless whatever the value of item. :)

hope this help, :) bro
its a really gud projector though i have 42 LG lm6400 3D passive but nothing can be compared with this projector :) (ofcourse in this price bracket) :P

Thank you for your help mate. I too was in the same confusion whether to buy from amazon or Newegg but as you have rightly mentioned, Amazon is truly a consumer's best friend, so I guess I'll go with them. I hope you have a wonderful experience with your projector. Having a projector truly changes the way you look at home entertainment . Thanks for your truly helpful post.

Why would you ask this in the thread meant for 141x? r u trying to compare that as well with these two?

With regard to your query about Benq w1070 and Epson 6100, i have to confess that I have little idea which one is better because I have never compared the two. I have been using Benqw1070 for nearly an year and can safely say it is a wonderful investment and that I have found no issues with anything as far as this projector is concerned. I maybe ignorant but the Rainbow effect, if at all it does occur, has had no bearing on my experience with the projector. The only thing that one needs to ensure when using the 1070 is the ambient light. A dark room is all that you need to have the best viewing experience in my humble opinion.
