Hi Chief by the way any idea whether the same glasses will work with optoma HD25e .on ebay link it says works with all optoma pj but in product details in pj list HD25E is not there .or any contact number given with product pl if it is can u pl share .Thanks in advance. Pl help.

I am 100% sure it will work for HD25E. Even 141x wasnt listed but it works. And its not for optoma alone as well. The seller is using same glass to sell for other brands as well. These are generic DLP 3D glasses, but the seller created a seperate link for optoma owners just to ensue us that it works with all optoma DLP projectors along with many others.

How is the packing and safety measures because my last two purchase from eBay had gone wrong
I had to return at my own expense and there was no good reply from the seller once eBay closed the case.
Even worse the seller didn't accept my Courier and the faulty device came back to me once again.

Yes I know the return policy at ebay sucks. Thats why i always buy very low priced items only from there. IN case of the screen seller however he has clearly given his email id in the product details page. Just email a one liner to that before ordering (thats what i did) and the seller will instantly reply back with his contact details. Even i spoke to him before ordering.

And btw yes i was very satisfied with pacakging- very well packed in foam material.

I just ordered Optoma HD141X from Amazon.com (international shipping)
cant wait for the delivery. Because of the holiday season I think, my product is expected to be delivered by Jan 15, 2015

My question is to the person who started this thread.
I am just wodering, was there any disturbance during the delivery of this product from Amazon? I am just worried that they should not ask for more money on the name of customs. I hope nothing like that happened.

Please let me know about it.

As you correctly said that we should not be worried about Amazon's service. I am not worried about Amazon, but am worried about our government guys sitting in customs duty office and dictate terms.
But to hell with them am ready for everything

I have done a lot of research before finalizing on it. I spoke to one of the dealers here in Hyderabad, who worked in Optoma for 9 years in Middle East as region head for 3 or 4 countries. Now he got his own business setup.

He was very friendly in answering all my questions with patience. He assured me about the Brand quality as he worked with Optoma for a long time.
When I said I bought this projector for 600USD, he simply said that it is a jackpot and that we can never get the projector in India for that price even if we include the import duties and all we cannot get a projector at that price in India if it is launched here. The only problem he said will be Warranty which is not valid in India if we are getting it from USA.

I spoke to Optoma India Head-Office which is in Hyderabad as well. Thay also said the same thing, no problem in using it here but the Warranty is not valid and we have to pay for whatever service they do, if there is any spare part replacement, we have to wait until they get it from USA.

So, let's keep our fingers crossed and hope nothing will go wrong

Infact I have already setup a 1 KVA UPS exclusively for Projector

Thanks for such a prompt reply. I think we both made a right decision in selecting HD141X. There is no 1080p projector in this price range in the market.

It is the best selling HD projector on Amazon at this time, and that will hopefully translate to better service in the future and cheaper spare parts.

I purchased a 1100 VA APC UPS for this, I am planning to attach a media player and a Blu Ray player to it, in addition to the projector.

Hi Chief don't worry they might deliver before also.i had purchased optoma HD25e from Amazon.com.placed regular delivery and received within 8 days.it was my first heavy purchase and worried but everything went smoothly.infact when I placed the order in $ and next day the money gone from my credit card was difference of around 60$ when I asked them they said that invoice amount is same but my credit card company must have charged u a transection fee.it was true.next day got the mail saying that as we come to know that u are not aware of this charges practised by some companies in some country. And u are a new customer we will bear the diff and will be refunded in ur account in next 48hrs. To my surprise same day at night received mail the money is refunded .
Amazon is Amazing.

I did a casual search on Google. The replacement bulb is available for 179$ at present. HD141x is new, maybe prices will fall, it is the best selling Projector on Amazon, with time economies of scale will kick in and price may fall.

I am so desperate and worried, that I contacted Amazon Customer Care and asked if I can collect the package myself personally as soon as it reaches my city They said that I will get an email with Tracking Number as soon as it is dispatched and with that Tracking Number if I contact Amazon Customer Care, they will give me contact details of courier guys here in Hyderabad who will deal with the delivery of my package. Then I can contact them and arrange to pick-up the package myself

Let me see what our courier guys will tell
I will keep you guys updated about it.

I just purchased a 3d Blu Ray player, LG 420 on the Internet to use wih this projector. I also bought a few Blu Rays from Amazon.in and Amazon.uk.
