Optoma HD141x HD / Full 3D

Cool
Good to know :)

So, How much did you pay for projector, on Amazon

I paid 10$ more than you. The total was 831$.

I just looked up the latest transportation situation, it seems I will be getting the projector next Thursday.

Have you thought about how you are going to install it? I am planning a glass shelf. And what about usage? How many hours each day do you plan to use it, even 4 to 5 hours a day, the next bulb replacement could take 4 or 5 years, that is far off in the future.

Also, what is the speaker sytem you are using. For me, the speakers will come later, for now I will just use my HD201 Sennheiser headphones.

Eagerly waiting to use all this.
Buying from UK caution look for the region code, these discs may not play here

Cool , 10$ I got discount coz I had a Amazon Gift Card :D hehehe

My package arrives on Jan 14th.
what do u mean glass shelf ?? u will put the projector inside that glass shelf ??
I am setting it up as table-top, a table from behind sofa.
and yes, u can say 4 to 5 hours initially when I get it maybe for couple of months, I am planning to take leave from work for 2 days when it arrives :D and enjoy watching all movies I can in those 2 days :D and play on my PS3 :D
I have a Onkyo HT3500S, it's a really good budget HTiB. I love the way it gives output for the amount. It's really good, check it once if u visit any onkyo store.
I am planning to get Klipsch RF42 or RF52 series speaker set in future.

I will post my HT room pics tomorrow in a different thread :D

Cheers,
Aditya

Hi Aditya,

I will place the projector on top of the glass shelf. That will give it plenty of ventilation.

OMG! You have Onkyo 3500, I have heard great things about it. You are in for a mind blowing audio visual experience.

In anticipation of the arrival of the projector, I have been frequenting forums to learn about projectors. Most people who have had projectors for a long time have positive things to say about it. With a bit of luck and necessary precautions, like ventilation, no sudden on-off, the lamp life often exceeds the Company predicted life. They say that companies often project lower lamp life figures so that more people will buy replacement bulbs.

This is my first time with projectors but I am intrigued by the idea of a huge screen. Who knows, maybe in the future I will buy an LED projector too as a replacement for TV.So, HD141X for High Def stuff and the cheap LED projector for rough and tumble TV use.

Hi Guys,
Well.. I am pleased to say that I have joined the Optoma HD141X community as I ordered my Optoma from Amazon yesterday after several days of reserach and brainstorming. I already own a Benq W1070 and so was wary that Optoma HD141 may disappoint me or may not rise to my expectations. However, after much research and youtube reviews of this and other projectors I realised that this is the best option out there in the price range. Some other options I contemplated over were Epson2000 Homecinema, Optoma GT76 and an Acer model but it turned out that Optoma HD141 had been universally appreciated and that finally made me decide in its favor. So, now I am waiting for my projector to arrive and prepairing my home theatre setup in the time being.

The more any of us guys research and ultimately decide on 141x, the more proud we all become of the decision. Thanks for the hard work on everyone's behalf. Hope that helps potential buyers. And yes congrats. This club rocks.

Congrats brother. All you had to do was scroll back a few pages in this very thread.

Hi,

Just got my projector yesterday. The picture quality is awesome. The colours are vivid and sharp. The output from a Blu Ray player is theater quality.

I have not tested the 3D yet.

I have one request, could someone please give out the addresses of Optoma Service centers in India(specifically Chandigarh and New Delhi). It will be a great help and give me peace of mind.

I visited the Optoma Asia website, it lists F1 Infosolutions as the service partner in India. It lists various addresses. I don't know how accurate it is.

HOLY FK :clapping::clapping::clapping:
You got it :yahoo:

Awesome :yahoo:

Now post some pics of when some movie is running

Can you give the link of that site where you found those service offices in India ?

Here is the link that I found on Optoma Asia site: ::: Welcome to Optoma Asia :::

As you can see in that link. Only one office is listed in India.
I spoke to Mr.Senthil Kumar, who is listed there. But as you can see, his number is missing now.

Heres his number: +91 8008999901
Another number: +91 8008058555 , his name is Rony, and he is the guy you can talk to about this specific projector.

Rony would be the most helpful to contact to get some info about this projector.

It seems like they have only one Office in India, that is in Hyderabad.
But I think there are many who can handle and service HD141X, they are not authorized though.
Search locally for projector sales and service guys in Chandigarh. Ask them if they deal with Optoma, if they talk anything else then dont listen. Just ask if they deal with Optoma Brand, and if they say yes, then ask then about this model. I am sure you will find someone :)

But like I said before, everything is paid, Warranty is not Valid in India. So, you to pay for whatever service they do and whatever spares you replace.

I am sure you will not have that problem and I hope none of us should have any problem :)

Check the 3D dude :D

Cheers,
Aditya
