Hi All,
Is it worth buying Philips CD460 which got TDA1541? I will be getting one soon. But I heard player with TDA1541A is good but not plain TDA1541. Is all TDA1541A based player mod applicable to these players? Please suggest me.

Thanks
Badri

I didnt hear the player. I trust the seller and as per his comments that its functionally good except hum noise created by transformer. Price is Rs.2400.

Thanks

badrisuper, If you are looking for a good NOS DAC with the TDA chip, go ahead and get the dac kit from analog metric. You wont be disappointed by the SQ.

Thanks iAudio. I think the analogmetric board is well regarded in lampazitor site. He compared it with the old sacht diy DAC. I will give a try. Currently I am looking for a TDA1541A S2(Double crown or Gold) DAC chip. Please if anyone happened to find an authentic one let me know.

Thanks

I bought Marantz cd65 mk II instead of Philips. Stock one sounds worst. I changed few caps. It sounds way better than stock. I replaced caps to BG nx in msb legs. Currently it's much better but not near to my cd53 and 67. I will replacing tda1541a to s1 and planning to add clock and regulator. Has anyone used tentlabs clock module?
