Phillips 2.1 channel connected to a headphone socket in 9300D Sony TV

Is that risky or 2.1 can be connected to a headphone out socket without long term problems? My fear is since earphone sockets are not used to higher watts output (maybe it is measured in ohms), can it spoil the TV's sound system?

The sound output is much better than the TV's own speakers though.

The amplification happens at your 2.1 system, can't think of how this would affect the TV or make any difference.

Volume control by remote is also handy.
