hi i am new here .. i am going to purchase a speaker system for both music and movie .. which is best ? my options are
pioneer pk 52fs 5.1
jamo 426hcs3 5 speakers
and also wharfedale vardus 300 5 speakers

I have never heard the Pioneer AJs but i have read great reviews. I have heard the Jamo 426 and did not like them at all. My vote would be for the Pioneers.

I can get jamo and pioneer speakers at same price.. I audtiond jamo i feel its good. But the jamo center channel and surround chaneel speakers are not ported its tottaly enlcosed type and smaller than pioneer

SRT1, I have been saying this many times. Don't listen to anybody or anyone when it comes to quality of speaker sound. Remember, only you have your own ears and the kind of music you like. You live in the UAE, so it should be simple to audition a few speakers over one or two weekends. Get a CD filled with the music you like, head out and audition the speakers.

If you buy blindly based on what someone else says, you may or may not like the speaker sound. If latter, you will be in trouble. Every time you listen to music, you will be spending time wondering if the 'other' speaker would have sounded better. You will never enjoy the music.

Audition, go with what your ears like and that is all that matters. There could 1000s of other speakers that are 'better', but they matter little to you. Remember, the difference in quality between a decent pair of speakers that cost, say, $1000, and one that costs $10,000, can at best be 10-15%, on a very subjective scale. And, unless you are really deep into music, and have the controversial 'golden ears', you wont even be able to understand the difference.

Cheers

The pioneers are great value for money..I have heard them in one of my friends places, they do sound really good

Thank you for everyone replay, i auditioned pioneer jamo and vardus vr300(waderfell). the problm with pioneer pk52fs is they available
only on pioneer showroom and they hv only one piece which is display piece and it have some damages on corner they littile broken.
from audtioned i feel good is Jamo, they have good deep bass without sub.but i feel center channel voice not louder as much vardus 300
may be it can adjust in recevcer but i just interchange the center channel speaker cable (i removed speaker wire from vardus center channel and connected to
jamo center but the result is same as befor not louder). i littile dissapionted in this thing.i auditioned pioneer also ,i turnd off sub and listern.
what i feel that bass is not much good. dont know if ther in reeciver have to change setting like small or large speaker.vardus 300 bass is not much deep,
midrange and high are just like jamo.now i am confused which have to buy jamo or vardus bcz problm is center channel.pioneer have problms bcz its have some damages and its weight is very heavy
but i read many reviews about pioneer 52fs .. experts are saying very good speakers.now i am asking is jamo center channel not good for watching movies? bcz i am expecting good vocal clarity.or is it possible to adjust in receiver?

I auditioned both Pioneer and Jamo. Liked the Jamo better and went for it. Got only the Floor standers and paired with my existing center. Yes, did have the issue with dialogues in center. Played a bit with settings on my avr and got it to an ok enough sound. But yes I would like better sound clarity on the center. Now plan to get a better center from Jamo.

bt i need to know abt center channel issue. is it can possible adjust in receiver

We can get the FS separately from the 426 HCS3 package. I am using a different make center. I was able to increase the volume on the center by doing few adjustments on the receiver and speaker placement. The center is perfect for TV viewing but have a small issue only with my WD Hub.

Timbre matching of speakers is very important for movies. So if you can get the s426 hc3 i.e 5.0 set then it would be good. Even pioneer looks promising.

hi i auditioned vardus 300 .. what i feel that bass is not deep as jamo 426 and mid and high are good.. also i feel center channel is littile better than jamo 426 package .. its model is vardus vr c2
