planning to buy denon 1612/ pma 710

hello all!

two queries i have:-

1. which one is better.. sound quality wise:- avr 1612 or pma 710?

2. which are the best compatible speakers with :-

-avr 1612, and
-pma 710

(my budget is rs. 55000/-, ampli and speakers inclusive).

One s meant for music (PMA 710) and the other is meant for movies and less of music (The AVR 1912)...wat r yr requirements?? Better than the 710 is Marantz 6003/NAD 326BEE

Simple! you want two channel setup , go for pma 710 or you want HT setup 5.1 or .71 then go for AVR.

My room size is - 17 ft x 12ft
Listening preference - 70% Music ; 30% Movies

Kindly suggest :

1. Floor Speakers - (Make and Price)
2. Woofer/Sub - (Make and Price)
3. Satellite speakers - (Make and Price)
4. Centre speaker

My Budget is @1,00,000/- for the whole package (5.1)

P.S. - I have the cabling for speakers already in place.

@rajaashwani Can you please clarify which AVR you are looking at since I remember you asking me about 1912. And now you have mentioned 1612.

BTW 1912 is a 7.1 AVR while 1612 is a 5.1 AVR.

Also can you specify your interest. i.e stereo setup or 5.1 or 7.1 setup.
though in your budget you wont get a decent 7.1
