Planning to buy Harman Kardon HD990

I am in US , thinking of buying HK HD990 ..... I was quoted by J&R - $375 , no tax, free shipping.

I have heard Marantz cd 5004 , didn't get a chance to listen to hd990... but the specs ( black fin DSP, AD 1955 chip ) is good , some of the reviews in the threads were good ....

Emotiva ERC-1 is out of stock and has same chip AD 1955 , no audition...

Marantz CDP 5004 comes to $349 @ Amazon and ERC-1 to $449

Upto now, HD990 is coming top of the three considering availability, specs etc ...

Any thought process - Will HD990 will be a good CDP comparing ERC-1 / Marantz 5004 ? I searched for HD990 reviews...positive reviews from techradar, would like to hear from users .....

Specs look good. But specs and sound can be drastically different. Please audition before buying.

Also consider that you may have to use a step-down transformer to use it in India.
