Polk Audio RM75 with Onkyo 609/RC-360

How would these speakers sound with onkyo 609 or onkyo rc-360 receiver. I am going to get one of this receiver shortly from US. There is a steal of a deal going on newegg.com for Polk audio RM75 5 speakers set with a $120 discount code which is coming to $129 + shipping thru either borderlink or aramex. It has very good reviews online but I was not sure whether how they sound with onkyo receivers. The deal is till tomorrow.

RM75 is without subwoofer it seems? You have plans to buy it separately.
RM75 is a very average package. Drivers are too small and they fail to deliver in demanding movie sequences.

Look for RM6750 if possible at a good rate. It is better than RM705 (with active sub).

If you are planning to get from abroad , why not go for Energy take classic or hsu ventriloquist with STF or VTF subwoofers.

Infact I was thinking of importing the 5 speakers from US and get a nice sub-woofer in India as this will be a heavy item and does not make sense to import. Ok I will see whether there is any deal for RM6750.
Also do let me know how would this sound with onkyo 609/rc-360. Energy RC Micro 5 Channel and this is coming to $199.

I was planning for getting it from US without a sub-woofer. ETC is not available without the sub-woofer and because of the weight of the sub the shipping cost also shoots up. Do let me know if I can get a good deal of ETC sans sub from abroad.

How does Energy RC Micro 5 speaker compared to ETC? All the online reviews seems to indicate that they are more or less same in sound quality and some reviews even pointing out that RC micro is slight ahead of ETC. One of my friends is coming down to India in March so I have asked him to get it for me as they are going for a great deal of $169 for the festive season. Which receiver is good for this speaker set. I am planning to get the receiver in India along with a good sub.

Took the plunge and purchased the Energy RC-Micro 5.0 set at $169 with the promotion code (actual price is $399). My wife's friend has agreed to carry it to India sometime in Feb/March. The total price is coming to 9.5k. I think it is a good deal. Now the hunt starts for the matching receiver with either 5.1 or 7.1 channel. Will plan to go for sub if I require once the setup is done. I do not see any owner with this set of speakers. Read the online reviews and booked it. Let me see how this sounds in my living room.

Any owner with this set of speakers please throw some light on the receiver that you have paired with and also the listening impressions.
