sukhjit

Hi sukhjit,
How is the existing speaker yamaha NS-p276, did you get a bundle deal with the receiver? Am curious since I plan to purchase V667 soon but have not zeroed to speakers yet.

How much did you pay for V667? I would suggest you try out Sonodyne 2605 V2 Flrs also. I have auditioned them and planning to buy one pair.

Hi,

From experts I know the TSI400 are far better than TSI300. From the reviews all over TSI400 has a very good reputation as well. About Sonodyne, no idea but the price seems very lucrative. Will audition soon.

BTW you can audition for Jamo S426. Its costing around 14K

Can you please send me the info where you found Jamo S426 for 14K? and also on the net I could not find the prices of Sonodynes on their website. Any pointers on whther these are available online?

I got it from the Cinebels in Bangalore ...
You can go to Sonodyne's website and check for a Listening room near to your place. They can provide you a good price and you can audition as well.
In the blog somebody had posted a price of around 25K for the V2605 sometime back ..

Any feedbacks from the audition test of the Sonodyne speakers?

I have got the V667, tried auditioning some speakers but not able to settle on any with my limited budget.
Still researching.
Hope i get some good suggestion too, through this thread.

I had kinda narrowed down to A340 HCS7 JAMO, pitty it looks punny and compared to floor standers it sounds nothing.

Generally all Jamo speakers have a boomy effect which i kinda like.

The YAMAHA amps are supposed to be already were bassy so try going for any range of speakers which are not bass dominant.
Klipsch is supposed to sound good but it was no way close to my liking from the sound to the cost.

No one wants to let you audition small speakers, they just thrust the highest possible range to choke you and degrade all the other speakers even when they are costing way more than a BIKE :-)
After effect of Cinebel chennai.

I am using TSI 400, with my receiver having 100 w/ch @8 ohms.
Room is 15 x 20, It provides sufficient coverage during movies.

I can assure you that 400 sounds better than 300 or 500 (500 is just louder, 300 lacks bass).
I used 500 for a month and later settled it for 400.

So, Its your call.

On a lighter side... If you could wait for 3 more months, waiting for a dose of Vitamin M :) I am planning to upgrade to RTI A7..

RTI Series are much better than TSi - RTi A7 has very good reviews auditioned them and they are good

Depends on what setup you are looking at...whether its a 5.1 setup or 7.1 or just 2 plain speakers for some good music. In any case, I've listened to the TSi 400 hooked up to Yamaha RXV667, combined with a couple of pairs of Yamaha NSP 8900 series (for surrounds and center) and PSW 125 - it just sounded fantastic. The RTi series is better but its more expensive as well. If your budget permits, you can go for the RTis.

Did you finalize on any speaker at the end?
Do update your auditioning and buying process, hope to find some help in it.

Few options i narrowed down

POLK
RTi5 + CSiA4 + FX1A4+ PW110
or
Wharf
10.4 + 10C + 10 DFS + 10SX

PW110 , no no no..... atleast DSW or micropro. If not particular with polks , many good subs available in market.

While I understand it is only the FS which are being spoken of here, I believe KEF Q300 may be worth listening too. It falls in the same price range and I have heard rave reviews of the book shelves. ProFx stocks KEF too.

Try Focal 706 BS rather than KEFs Q300. I find Focals much better in mid & upper range. You can always add a good sub for lows.

Why not try the Pioneer sp-fs51lr FS..... its a 3 way 3 * 5.25" driver FS designed by Andrew Jones for budget conscious hifi enthusiasts..

these speakers are a steal at the price they are sold for.... if you are willing to get them shipped....

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
