It is definitely VFM,but it is not worth it in terms of life.I can get a new 1 in 7k,which will last me the life of my car.

i have a Kenwood amp and a JVC amp (both 2 channels) in my swift one powering the front comps and other powering the sub in bridged mode.
Kenwood amp : Purchased and using since 2009 - 2011 with an average playing time of 2.5 hrs/day for 5 week days. and some saturdays or sundays too. If said on kms it have been running from 50000kms to 2011 (1,30,000kms)
JVC amp : Purchased and using since 2009 - 2011 with an average playing time of 2.5 hrs/day for 5 week days. and some saturdays or sundays too. If said on kms it have been running from 50000kms to 2011 (1,30,000kms)

Both have been put on my vento from 6000 kms to now (38000 kms) and usually have an average playing time of 2.5 hrs/day for 5 week days. and some saturdays or sundays too.

Life of components lasts depending on the useage.
I had an Esteem whose casset player was used everyday for 2-3 hours.
It had to be repaired every year.
My brother had got the same model 1 year before me but he never faced any problem with the casset player throughout the life of the car as he seldomly used cassets.

I recently replaced the stock ICE in my car with a 3 way active setup with TA.
HU - Pioneer DEH-80PRS? (3 way active, with auto eq and TA)
Component Speakers - German Maestro Epic 6508 (using in Active mode)
Rears - Not in use
Subwoofer - Hybrid Audio - 8ISW 8 inch sub in a ported enclosure
4 Channel amp for the fronts (active) - Celestra RA475x
Subwoofer - Hertz Mono Amplifier HE1D
Speaker Cable - Tchernov
Interconnects - Connection

Update on my system:
Replaced the Coustic Sub with a Focal 12" Sub. There is a noticeable increase in the punch.There is more punch even in low frequency Bass.Going to go for a 4-ch amp by Magnat soon and will connect 2-ch to the Focal Sub(currently powered by a 350W Sony amp) and the other 2-ch to the Coustic amp, and connect the Sony 2-ch amp. to the Boston Speakers at the back tray.

That's a lot of high end stuff. Could you share more details on the speaker cable & the RCAs like gauge, pricing & source etc. Would also like to know more about the power & ground cables used. Thanks in advance for sharing.
