I was told by my dealer that I require online UPS to handle the load of projector, subwoofer and AVR and to get 5 Ampere sockets for the same.

Would 1 KVA online UPS be sufficient?

You will need to provide specs or model details of ALL the equipment you plan to power through the UPS.

While 1 KVA online UPS should be okay for your setup, it would be better if you go with 2 KVA version. With 1 KVA, you will end up running at 80% to 90% of its capacity. In future, you may add a new component or upgrade an existing one to your AVR chain and the UPS shouldn't become the bottleneck for that.
