But still no one is telling me the price

I wanted to have an idea of at what price I should bargain before I go n talk to the dealer

It's very tough especially since most are from different cities. Best is to visit as many places as you can and audition and also ask for best price and make a note of what you liked during the audition and also the best sale price on offer. That's the method I've always followed and it's always worked. I would assume you're done with the auditioning, now just pay a visit to as many places as you can and ask for the best price. In fact most guys will match what the other guy is offering so it's a great way to bargain too.

HH, I would suggest you get in touch directly with Russel Dsilva from FX Entertainment. He is an absolute gentleman and is certain to guide you well in this matter. His contact details are on the fxentertainment.in web site. Good luck.

According to the March 2009 issue of AV Max, the prices are as follows:

340A - 17.500
340ASE - 19,600
540A - 24,200
540A V2 - 21,700
640A V2 - 26,500

There is something screwy about the 540 prices, but that is what I found on the magazine. Unless they have a special price for 540A as it is becoming a museum piece. :)

Cheers

AV Max does not seem to like neither NAD nor Marantz. Here are some prices I could find on WhatHiFi.

NAD 320BEE 21,500
NAD 355BEE 36,500
NAD 315BEE 18,000
NAD 352 29,500

Marantz PM7001 28,131
Marantz PM4001 19,849.

The 5001 and 6001 should be somewhere in between 20 and 28K. Both these magazines will only list the prices of products they have reviewed and liked.

Cheers

Thanks :)

Well, both our prices are the same so there is no harm. But I yet don't understand how 540A can be more expensive than 540A V2?

Cheers

The prices have gone up by 25% in last two months

I can't afford more than 15K-16K for an amplifier

Please suggest some options ( Learnt that Yamaha RX-397 , Onkyo-TX 8222 , Sherwood RX4103 are within thin price range [source : recommender/best buy AV MAX april/sep/nov '07 ] )

Please help.

Yes I've read a lot about Norge amps.
Two problem's which I have with Norge :
Smaller problem : Only 3 RCA inputs ( I have fours sources )
Bigger problem : I can't audition them

Please help.

Also please read this ( I posted this in another thread too )

Has anyone heard Jamo E350 ? I heard it today and quite liked it,not that detailed but still a kill at the price ( 15K INR ).But I couldn't find any info about this model on Jamo's website

How are Jamo speakers in general.
