Hi guys,

I'm looking for a projector screen I got some weird rates I believe for an Elite screen, are these rates normal? Can anyone post some prices and recommend some screens, manual ones?

We have Elite Screens (USA)

120" fixed frame (16:9 format) screen Rs. 65,300
135" fixed frame (16:9 format) screen Rs. 82,900

Suvira Screens

120" Rs. 26,900
133" Rs. 30,500

Thanks,Ram

Try deltapage in Chennai @ Ritchie Street - I got the following quotes from them.

8:6 120" Wall mount Instalock Screen Available@4700/- Brand = Logic.

8:6 Tripod Screen Available@4800/- Brand "Lite"

16:9 "Pro Lite" brand Wall mount screen Available@27050/-

Another guy with whom I checked in Ritchie Street said that he would be able to complete the entire installation including a ceiling extension with a Logic Screen 8:6 for 5500 INR. That shop is near to the main entrance of Ritchie Street... I forget the name of that shop but a nice electronics shop.

You can also look for Grandview screen it's made in China. Comparatively cheaper than Da-lite US. I got the quote of Rs.38k for 92" motorised with remote from one of the dealer.

I am using Plotting paper roll. These roll are 60 Inch height and 30 meter long.
These roll cost around 300 rs in Pune. You cut this paper to size and stick it to the wall with normal gum available. If you want to remove this screen wet the screen first and it peels off easily without damaging the color of wall.
You can then have 4.8 feet tall and 8.5 feet width screen at very minimal cost.
Posting shots of my screen.

Hi attaching the screen shots. The screen is 7.50 feet by 5 feet.
the PJ is LG PA 70 G in maximum energy saving mode. one screen is HD TV football match and other 2 are movie played on PC.
If the blurr is noticeable then it is due to shaky hand.

Hi I bought the paper roll at App Balwant Chowk. The paper is mat finish so there is no reflection. For a screen of 100 Inch I find this solution to be best.
Attaching the snap shot of the roll in which I bought. Apply standard Gum or Fevicol at the sides of the paper 1 inch. I find this solution for screen best and extremely low cost.

If you are looking at a DIY screen and don't need something with 1.0 or above gain, you can try a white blackout fabric. It definitely does not exhibit hotspots and produces decent result at low cost.

Can you stick this paper roll on the naked coloured wall? I am assuming you would need a wooden frame done for all corners.

Can I have some responses for this thread please? buying a 480p projector for nephew..already got him a xbox 360....

these kind of papers and cloth available in Bangalore KR market and near by areas for such cheap prices? dont need gains and all that..unfortunately no wall of 10 feet without cupboards and such...hence looking for a really cheap DIY solution
