I just bought a QRK broadcast turntable with two professional tonearms. It's an American broadcast turntable with an idler wheel very similar in size and shape of Garrard 301. It's bearings are very smooth and initial listening with an Ortofon 2 M Red cartridge was very impressive. These turntables I understand was being used by Ceylon broadcasting Corporation. So they are not very common in India. I don't know if AIR also used them. What impressed me was the accurate speed and instant acceleration of speed. Anyway, I am happy to be the owner of one more broadcast turntable. More on it after I play it with different cartridge and phono stage. I am trying to upload a picture.
