Rainbow Components vs Kicker Audio Components

Hi All,

Can anyone share some light over this question ? I want to know how are the Rainbow Component Speakers different than Kicker Audio Comps?

I am eyeing Rainbow's soundline vs Kicker Audio's KS series.

Suggestions are welcome....

I dont know anything specific about Rainbow soundline series and Kicker Audio KS series.
However from the little I have gathered from reading team-bhp car audio section,
Rainbows in-general are supposed to be better than Kicker. Rainbows are supposed
to be more mellow and soothing in sound when compared to Kicker which tend to be
more bassy. I may be totally wrong. Please visit team-bhp car audio section and you
may probably find more information on the specific series you have in mind.

Kickers are more aggressive IMHO. Very good lows though. Using Rainbow DL now and these are totally fatigue free. Having used both Kickers and Rainbows, I would recommend the latter. You could also have a look at the Gladens. They pack quite a punch.

P.S With your budget you could also look at HAT.

put the rainbows upfront
put the kickers in the rear ( 6*9) if you dont have a sub

youll get the vocals of the rainbows and the lower end grunt of the kickers

Have gone ahead for the following setup :

Head Unit : JVC KD-R90BT
Front Components : Kicker Audio KS Series
Rear 6*9 Oval Speakers : Kicker Audio KS Series
Amplifier : Rockford Fosgate 250.4 (4 Channel Amp)
Front Two doors damped
Wiring Kit : Sound Stream

Initial Impressions : Will need to curtail the aggressive and bassy SQ of the Kickers. Haven't listened to the setup much yet. Will post detailed impressions later.

Afterthoughts : Rainbow components would have been better for vocals and musicality. However, lets see.

Another idea popping in my head is to replace the rear Kicker KS 6*9 with the Infinity 6*9 ovals that I have installed in my other car. I find the infinity clearer on the bass and vocals. Suggestions are welcome....
