Rega dac-r

Hi,

Any one has the new rega dac-r with a decent USB connection? I am tempted to buy it since it's often described as leaning towards a more vinyl like sound but held off due to the USB limitations of the old model.

Would love to hear from FMs . Any dealer where I can hear one in Bangalore?

I think there is no Dealers for REGA in Inida. But I am not 100% sure.

I think, you can take full advantage of this recent release of rega dac-r, you will get very good deal on old Rega dac at this moment, even you can try to collect an used one from UK/Europe (suggesting Europe due to voltage compatibility), then add a device like this - GUSTARD U12 32Bit / 384KHz XMOS USB Digital Audio Interface - Professional Audio Store - Shenzhenaudio.com or Amazon.com: Peachtree Audio X1 Asynchronous 24/192 USB to SPDIF Converter: Electronics or others. New Rega DAC-R just has updated usb input with remote control.

Thanks srisaikat. Yes will keep a look out for good deals on the older dac on my next trip to the UK. Got a response from Tusker. No stock yet but they say that they will be getting some soon. No response on pricing though..

It looks like no one is owning rega dac-r. Reviews have high praise for it. Did anyone at least try auditioning it ?
