I use this to control my download rig from office. It's free and 100% secure. I've been using this for almost 6 months now without any issue.

However your machine should be up & running and also connected to the internet.

Well, You've got to install client at both the ends shouldn't you? (Shoot me if I'm wrong)

This one works through IE, Firefox browsers. If you're at work and they don't allow to install the thin client (Damn you Sys Admin's) you can just use what you've got already.

That's right client installation is required at both ends.

There are some 6 versions in the link provided by you, also it does not look to be free, as i can only find a trial version, which version exactly are you using, is it a trial or a paid one

This is the version you should be looking for, It's free.

You can use the trial version for about 1 month which allows you to do file transfer etc.

I've personally been using Log Me In free for a few years and it works great. I could use it even via my Nokia mobile. Of course now that I'm home not much use for it.

Well I found this today icloud - Your friends, files and digital life on any computer .

Seems very interesting. It is your own personal computer on the cloud. It allows up to 50 Gb of storage on line and has word processing and ie etc etc. Have a look guys and chip in your comments.
