It's been nice to see some very interesting reviews recently. However I just wanted to point out that there are some things which would add to the value of a review such as (more) photos of the gear, valid comparisons to equivalent gear and also some care in formatting the posts. All this helps to increase the readability of the reviews.

I am also not sure if it has been noticed by everyone but we have revived the "Review of the Month"

Reviews are a great way for the audio community to benefit from shared knowledge gained by others. A single well written review has far more value than many magazine articles as we expect that our forum members care about the hobby. We look forward to more such forum member reviews on here which will help enrich the content on the forum and in the process help some fellow members with valuable feedback.

Regards.

Are the reviews restricted to only "Branded" products or can "DIY" also be reviewed?

Self promotion even if disguised as a review is always going to be frowned upon.

But DIY work that genuinely benefits the audio community should not be an issue.
For example the Pass B1 builds were very interesting and deserved exposure
But one off projects are always going to be subjective for which there will be limited use to others.
