Right now I am listening to ...

Found a CD of Mahler's 2nd symphony sneaked into my carnatic collection!

Haven't listened to it for five or six years. Stunning and mindblowing!

Happy reminder of how incredibly powerful it is to see a huge-scale orchestral piece like this live!

Also, a sad reminder of how badly my "hifi" is setup. Zero soundstage --- but hey, I want to move house!

Currently listening to
1. Nirvana black album. Contains almost all the great songs by Nirvana. Awesome to say the least.
2. Jon BonJovi - Destination Anywhere- BonJovi without BonJovi signature. Not like what BonJovi used to be but few songs are very catchy. But some of lyrics could've been better.
3. GnR- Use your illusion II - Found the CD for this album after a long time. It was unavailable for a long time. Probably the best album by GnR, this was kind of a cult album to have during my college days.
4. Ev1s- Found a new found love for Rock'n'Roll. I'm really loving this genre now. Now I know what I was missing. Can someone please suggest me some more Rock'n'Roll kind of songs/albums? Must not be missed songs by Elvis?
Regards,

Only two very long tracks here in Moonsorrow's latest album. They label their genre of music as Epic Heathen Metal; its not just music but an experience to savor. One of my favorite metal bands from Finland, their music is mostly inspired by Finnish mythology and poetry, unlike most other Scandinavian bands influenced by Vikings.

The Reunion concert marked the return of Ozzy to Black Sabbath. All the classic Sabbath tracks are covered in this live gig, and there are two new studio songs at the end, "Psycho Man" and "Selling My Soul". An amazing concert, where these ageless rockers still kick some serious butt. Every heavy metal band owes their riffs to these British bad boys. Ozzy is, as always, full of energy. Bill Ward still drums away like a possessed demon. Tony Iommi is a magician with the electric guitar, and Geezer Butler weaves a beautiful web with his bass.

My favorite tracks here are "Iron Man', 'Children of the Grave" & 'Paranoid'. "AWESOME"

Thrash Metal is alive and kicking, and Kreator is one band which stands out in the crowd of me-too Thrash bands out there.

"Hordes of Chaos" is their latest offering containing some really heavy and impressive work.

Favorite tracks: Hordes Of Chaos, Amok Run.

Line-up:
Mille Petrozza - Vocals, Guitar
Sami Yli-Sirnio - Guitar
Christian Giesler - Bass
Jurgen Reil - Drums
