VINNAI THAANDI VARUVAYA

These are the good words about the songs in today's 'The Hindu' review of the movie.

''A.R. Rahman proves the past master that he is, once again. The songs in VTV' sound unique in the sense that they do not always conform to the regular pattern of pallavi and charanam. Rahman has experimented a lot with the score and aiding him with apt lyric verses is Thamarai. Be it the innovative beats, the backing vocals that include Blaaze or the combination of instruments such as nagaswaram (Omana Pennae') music offers plenty of pleasant surprises. The Thirukkural' couplet in a fresh refrain is one such.''

'Hosannah' and 'Omanapenne 'are my favourite songs. Watch out for the Aaromale song too. Can't say why but i find this songs so different from any song from a tamil movie. Its not exactly a tamil song tho:) Guitar sound rocks in this song.

cheers,
sri

Someone bless the God to have created Mark Knopfler & xrcd! ...well and also to hv made Quad!

Playing 9th time in loop the song 'YOUR LATEST TRICK' - from Brother in Arms/xrcd.

Its pleasing to be surrounded in magical sounds being produced and hear the decays on the xrcd plus individual presence of instruments which is quite a contrary to the sound of its normal cd that i have.
